INTERSTATE 40
Nationally, Interstate 40 goes from Interstate 15 in Barstow, California. The highway spends more miles in Tennessee than in any other state. Interstate 40 divides the state into two as it connects Memphis, Jackson, Nashville, Knoxville, and Newport.
