Highway
Review:
U.S. 113 immediately widens from two to four lanes as it enters
the state of Delaware. Less than a mile later, the highway
intersects DE 54. The highway then continues through Millsboro
and skirts the western edges of Georgetown and Milford before the
highway becomes duplexed with DE 1 for almost the rest of its
length. The highways split at the southern end of the DE 1
turnpike, and U.S. 113 ends just two miles later at U.S. 13.
In June 2003, a motion to eliminate U.S. 113 between
Milford and Dover (all of it except for two miles is duplexed
with DE 1) was brought before the federal government, but was denied. So, for
now, U.S. 113 still terminates at U.S. 13 in Dover.
